Privacy Policy – Oinkly: Savings Goal Tracker

Effective date: 13 September 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Oinkly: Savings Goal Tracker app (the “Application”) for iPhone, created by Ankit Saxena (the “Service Provider”) as a Freemium service. The Application is provided “AS IS”.

The short version

Your savings stay on your iPhone. The goals, amounts and notes you enter are stored only in a database on your own device and are never transmitted to anyone. There is no account to create and no sign-in. The Application does send a small amount of information about how the app is used to two service providers, but never what you are saving for or how much. Those two, and exactly what they receive, are set out below.

Information the Application stores on your device

To do its job, Oinkly saves the following on your iPhone, in local storage that only Oinkly can read:

  • The goals you create: their name, target amount, optional deadline and chosen illustration.
  • The deposits and withdrawals you log: amount, date and the optional note you may add.
  • Your savings streak and the milestones you have reached.
  • The display name you optionally enter during setup, which is only used to greet you.
  • Your settings: reminder day and time, haptics, and your chosen currency.

This information is never transmitted to the Service Provider or to anyone else. It is not backed up to any service operated by the Service Provider, and Oinkly does not use iCloud. If your iPhone is backed up through Apple, that backup is governed by Apple, not by the Service Provider.

Information the Service Provider collects

Two third-party services are built into the Application. Neither is ever sent a money amount, a goal name or a deposit note.

Amplitude (product analytics) receives a device identifier and a record of which features were used, for example that a deposit was logged, that a milestone was reached, or that the subscription screen was opened. Amounts are never included; progress is reported only as a percentage of your own target, and a goal illustration is reported as a category such as gift or emoji rather than as anything you typed. The device identifier is Apple’s vendor identifier, not the advertising identifier, and it is not linked to your name or to any account, because the Application has none.

RevenueCat (subscription management) receives your Oinkly Pro purchase history so that the subscription can be restored on a new device. It identifies you only by an anonymous identifier generated on your device.

The Service Provider does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location or any other personal information through the Application.

Notifications

Oinkly can send you one optional weekly reminder, on a day and time you choose. Permission is requested only at the moment you switch the reminder on, never at launch, and you can decline or turn it off at any time. These reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. They are not push notifications, no server is involved, and no data leaves your iPhone to produce them.

Purchases and subscriptions

Oinkly Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the payment. The Service Provider never sees and never receives your payment card details, billing address or Apple Account credentials. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple’s in-app purchase system and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Apple provides the Service Provider with anonymous, aggregated sales and subscription reports through App Store Connect. These reports show totals such as how many people subscribed in a country during a period. They do not identify you.

Sharing a celebration card

When you reach a milestone, Oinkly can create an image showing that goal’s name, amount, streak and level. Nothing is shared unless you tap Share and choose where to send it. The image then travels through the app you pick, such as Messages or WhatsApp, and is governed by that app’s own privacy policy. The Service Provider receives no copy.

Third party access

Three companies are involved in your use of Oinkly: Apple, which distributes the Application and processes subscription payments; Amplitude, which receives the usage information described above; and RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history. None of them receives your savings data. Nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers, and no information is used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

The Service Provider may disclose information where required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to protect rights, safety or property. In practice the Service Provider holds no information about you that could be disclosed.

Your choices and deleting your data

Because your data never leaves your iPhone, you remain in control of it at all times:

  • Open Settings inside Oinkly and choose Reset all data to erase every goal and deposit.
  • Delete the Application from your iPhone to remove everything it has stored, including your settings.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device.

There is no account for the Service Provider to delete. If you would like the usage or purchase records associated with your device removed from Amplitude or RevenueCat, write to the address at the bottom of this page and it will be arranged.

Data retention

Your savings data has no retention period at the Service Provider, because none of it is ever received: it stays on your device for as long as you keep the Application installed. The usage and purchase records held by Amplitude and RevenueCat are kept under those companies’ own retention policies for as long as the Application is in service.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13. The Application collects no information that identifies anyone, child or adult. If you believe a child has provided information in a way that concerns you, please contact the Service Provider at the address below.

Security

Keeping your savings information on your own device, and never transmitting it, is the main protection Oinkly offers. Your data is additionally protected by your iPhone’s own passcode, Face ID or Touch ID and by iOS app sandboxing, which prevents other apps from reading Oinkly’s storage. Please note that Oinkly records what you tell it about your savings; it is a place to keep score and it never holds, moves or has access to your actual money.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time, for example if a future version of the Application gains a feature that changes how information is handled. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date at the top will be revised. You are advised to review this page for any changes. Continued use of the Application is taken as your acceptance of the policy in force at the time.

Your consent

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of information as set out in this privacy policy, now and as amended.
